A People Painter
Anne Demeter is a traditional painter with a unique ability to capture fleeting expressions, that spark your imagination.  Whether it is a child at play, a park bench conversation, or a simple fleeting glance; each painting tells a story.
Her commisioned works are sought after by families up and down the east coast.
Anne has her B.A. in art/education, and was inspired by various artists and teachers from Cape Ann; such as Helen Van Wyk, Betty Lou Schlemm, Charles Movalli, and Don Stone.
Her numerous award winning works have been included in the Dana Farber Cancer Institute Card Program, the New England Watercolor Society’s Show at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and the Trustees of the Reservation Shows at Castle Hill in Ipswich.
She has enjoyed being involved in many prestigious organizations including:
  • Danvers Art Association (Former President)
  • Saltbox Gallery of Topsfield (Former President)
  • North Shore Arts Association of Gloucester (Former President)
  • Rockport Art Association (Board of Governors)
Anne has taught painting on the North Shore for the past 18 years; and is available to art organizations for one-day workshops and demonstrations.
